We see nursery education as an important foundation and our aim is to provide a firm base for the children's learning now and for the future.
Balance is maintained between early reading, writing and number work and creative activities such as music, art and make-believe play. The children have access to computers and a variety of multimedia and stimulating materials which support their learning.

The Nursery has an up-to-date Computer Network across the whole Nursery and an Interactive White Board. The new network will have the latest Literacy, Numeracy and ICT packages which will enhance the curriculum provided further and raise the children attainment. The facilities will also provide the children with an opportunity to have ahead start when they go to their next school. We incorporate the Early Years Foundation Stage of the National Curriculum in our planning.

The Italian Reggio Emilia Concept is used throughout the setting, focusing on child initiated interests of work when planning activities for the children.
"Learning made fun" is an important aspect of our philosophy. To encourage the children to enjoy learning we have visiting artists, a music teacher and a great variety of events to stimulate their interests. Children's progress is monitored and assessed by staff, with the support of parents, throughout their time in the nursery.
